Our long-term goal is to use a portion of profits to fund microgrants and guaranteed income pilots for creative workers. Your future purchases will directly support this mission: to help anyone who wants to pursue a creative craft or vocation the support to do so.
Marika Shioiri-Clark is a Japanese-American designer who studied film theory, trained as an architect, and spent a decade in the world of social impact design.
She has lived and worked in Paris, Kigali, and Mumbai, and has always found inspiration in the weaving of memories through place and culture. Growing up and traveling between California and Japan, she found belonging through music and dance, freedom through skateboarding, and confidence through self-expression, experimenting with sewing and modifying thrift store clothes into new creations.
Memory Palace is a love letter to creative craft, to the memories that form our identities, and to the pursuit of self-confidence through free self-expression.
